Features FAQ

Which features are available on the Maker plan?

Maker includes the material test grid, 17 material presets, all five processing modes, three dither algorithms, image adjustments, G-code preview, shape editor, text editor, SVG layer management, and offline licensing. The AI settings assistant, templates, and Step and Repeat require Pro.

Does Light Lane have a vector editor for cutting?

Light Lane has a shape editor with eight presets (rectangle, circle, star, polygon, and more) plus freeform drawing. It is not a full vector editor like Illustrator or Inkscape. For complex vector work, design in another tool and import as SVG.

Can Light Lane import DXF, AI, or PDF files?

No. Light Lane imports PNG, JPEG, BMP, and SVG. Convert other formats to SVG using Inkscape or your design tool before importing.

Does Light Lane support camera alignment or rotary attachments?

Not yet. Camera alignment and rotary support are not currently available. Check the changelog for updates on upcoming features.
